Rogers Police Department (Ark.) Selects New World Systems’ Integrated Public Safety Solution
Troy, Mich.— Rogers Police Department, Ark. has selected New World Systems’integrated Aegis/MSP® Public Safety Solution on the Microsoft® platform to improve efficiency with a fully integrated suite of law enforcement software. Frustrated with their current software, the police department made the decision to select a new vendor that would improve their state reporting capabilities and offer them modern technology.
“We were looking for a totally integrated suite of software,” said Captain James Baker, Rogers Police Department. “Also, our new vendor had to be National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) compliant in the state of Arkansas. It was important to us that New World is already well established with a proven track record in this state.”
New World Systems has provided public sector software for more than 26 years and has supported customers in Arkansas with proven solutions for more than 10 years. The Police Department felt comfortable selecting New World Systems because of the company’s strong history and reputation. Captain Baker said, “We were looking for a company that has been around for a while. It gave me great comfort to know that so many other agencies have been able to make New World’s software work, and work well.”
The Police Department signed a contract to license New World’s Aegis Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Corrections Management and Mobile Computing software, developed in-house using proven Microsoft® technology, industry-standard Windows® Server and SQL Server. Seamless integration between the applications will eliminate redundant data entry and improve access to critical information for officers. The applications feature an intuitive user interface with visual and/or audible alerts that assist users in locating existing or updated information. The easy-to-use solution will improve overall efficiency through built-in workflow and allow the Police Department to complete and submit state-required NIBRS reports.
“New World Systems’ workflow is a big timesaver,” said Baker. “It seems more organized and makes more sense to us than other software we looked at.” New World’s solutions will help the Police Department’s 97 sworn police officers better serve nearly 50,000 residents. Rogers Police Department is looking forward to the new technology and capabilities and is confident New World will support them into the future.
“We are a growing community, but we still have to work with limited resources,” said Captain Baker. “New World’s solution really stood out above all the rest; the workflow and built-in processes will pay off for us in the long run.”
