Laerdal Upgrades SimMan Manikin to Make Simulation Training Even More Realistic

New Manikin Features in SimMan

WAPPINGERS, NY - Laerdal Medical announces upgrades to its SimMan training manikin - including the Pedal Pulse feature. SimMan now has palpable bilateral Dorsalis Pedis and Posterior Tibialis pulses for assessment of circulatory conditions and traumatic injuries. These added features will also be implemented into SimMan Nursing Wound Module Set and SimMan Trauma Module Set.

SimMan’s head and airway anatomy have been updated to allow for realistic training in the various airway management procedures including Bag-Valve-Mask, supraglottic airway adjuncts and endotracheal intubation. The learner can also obtain additional vital signs information through assessment of the pupils.The pupil size can be varied between normal, constricted and dilated. All these new features in the head can be easily retrofitted on your current SimMan.
