Monadnock® Announces 2006 International Training Seminar
Jacksonville, FL. - Monadnock Police Training Council has scheduled its 26th Annual International Training Seminar in New Orleans, LA for May 20 - 25, 2006. Monadnock has a long tradition of holding this seminar in New Orleans, and they are proud to continue that tradition despite the recent hurricane devastation.
Attendees will have the option of gaining certification as an instructor or instructor-trainer in Monadnock Expandable Batons (MEB), the PR-24® Baton, or the Monadnock Defensive Tactics System (MDTS). Classes and activities will be held at the Radisson New Orleans Airport Hotel in Kenner, LA.
"These programs are an excellent way to maximize training effectiveness," said Terry Smith, program manager at Monadnock. "We train officers who then can go back and teach others in their agencies. With our specialized instructor-trainer programs, officers learn what it takes to teach others to be an instructor."
The three-and-a-half-day Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB) and PR-24 programs begin at 2:00 p.m. on May 20th and conclude at 5:00 p.m. on May 23rd. Those enrolled in either class may add two more- days of training by enrolling in the Monadnock Defensive Tactics System (MDTS) instructor course, May 24th and 25th. Those already certified as a MDTS instructor, can participate in the instructor-trainer course on the 24th and 25th. Cost for each of the three-and-a-half-day programs is $450 (USD). The five-and-a-half-day program is $600 (USD).
As a special addition to the Monadnock International Seminar, the Armor Training Academy will offer a one-day Defense Technology OC Aerosol Projectors Instructor Certification Program on May 24th. This program provides information on topics including OC formulations and carriers, projectors, liability factors, decontamination. This program is available only to those attending the three-and-a-half-day seminar. The cost of the four-and-a-half-day program is $600 (USD).
