Robotic security system identifies guns, bombsA pair of revolving doors has sensors that identify threats

A high tech new doorway security system aims prevent the carrying and smuggling of weapons and other dangerous materials into buildings.
The Linear Revolving Door (LRD) is a series of parallel hallways that its creator, Barbecan Security Systems, claims will block and push out attackers from buildings, according to Mashable.
Positioned at the entrance of a building, each passage has two doors that move with a person as they walk, much like a revolving door. Closing temporarily both in front and behind, the doors are equipped with sensors that keep pace with the walker.
If the sensors detect a threat, like a bomb or a firearm, the doors move in reverse and push the threat out.
In a press release, Babecan stated that “a guard at a building entrance won’t stop a determined and well-armed attacker – especially if they have suicidal motivations. The LRD portal WILL NOT let an armed gunman enter a building. Period.”
Barbecan suggested that the LRD could be used for any crowded area, including schools, malls, banks and airports.
