PARADISE, Calif. — The Department of Homeland Security tipped off Butte County authorities about possible bomb-making materials at a home in Paradise.
When the FBI, Butte County Bomb Squad, and ATF searched the property, they arrested Helen Murphy, age 55, and Clifton Murphy, age 50.
On Thursday, agents served a search warrant at the Murphys' home on Melody Lane in Paradise. They said they found several items of explosive-making materials, as well as several guns, including illegal assault weapons.
