300-plus pounds of marijuana seized in TexasDriver was detained and turned over to ICE

SANTA TERESA, Texas — More than 300 pounds of marijuana was seized Saturday at the Santa Teresa border crossing, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The seizure was made at 8:30 a.m. when a drug-sniffing dog, named Dolar, alerted CBP officers to the drugs hidden in the undercarriage of a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado.
The driver of the vehicle, Eleuterio Pina Aguirre, 46, of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, was detained by a CBP officer.
He was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and taken to the Doca Ana County jail pending federal prosecution.
